About Maria
Hola! My name is Maria. I live in a country known for the ancient civilization of the Aztecs. These people built beautiful temples to the many gods they worshipped. Many of the temples are still standing. We are also known for our fiestas (celebrations) and for the piñata – an animal made of paper maché and filled with candy and presents which kids try to break open with a stick. After school I have class to learn traditional dances. My favorites are the Jalisco and the Jarabe Tapatia (hat dance).
